SHABBOS PROGRAM
HOLIDAY FUND
The Yom Tov Fund provides additional assistance to needy families during the Jewish Holiday seasons. For families who struggle financially throughout the year, Yomim Tovim often bring additional pressure, with added food and clothing expenses. Along with the financial assistance that Ahavas Yisrael provides, we also allocate generous food certificates to families who experience difficulty with Yom Tov costs. For each Yom Tov, our volunteers pack and deliver food boxes that are overflowing with delicious food items. We make sure that each family can enjoy a beautiful spread for their Yom Tov meal.
EMERGENCY
Ahavas Yisrael’s Emergency Fund helps families and individuals who are in crisis situations such as home eviction, utility shut-off, lack of food, clothing, etc. Ahavas Yisrael prides itself on being able to provide these critical services in a discreet, sensitive manner, while maintaining each person’s dignity. Along with financial assistance, Ahavas Yisrael provides individualized guidance to enable our families to become self-sufficient. In doing so, Ahavas Yisrael not only provides the “bandaid” when needed, but it also helps recipients take steps towards gaining long-term peace of mind.
